Physiotherapy

Restore, maintain, and maximize how your body moves

Physiotherapists are specialized members of the allied health care team that focuses on recovery and rehabilitation. Physiotherapy is treatment to restore, maintain, and make the most of your mobility, function, and well-being — through physical rehabilitation, injury prevention, and health and fitness.

Sports physiotherapy focuses on the athlete and weekend warrior, helping guide you through the injury and recovery process along with prevention of further injuries. We use manual therapy, exercise prescription, nutrition and sleep hygiene, modalities like acupuncture, and education to tailor your arc of rehabilitation.

Manual therapy

Hands-on mobilization and soft-tissue techniques for acute pain and stiffness.

Exercise prescription

Specific, progressive loading programs — not generic sheet protocols.

Sport-specific rehab

Return-to-play progressions informed by sports residency training.

Conditions we treat

What physiotherapy actually fixes

Evidence-based protocols for the musculoskeletal problems that keep you from moving, training, and living well. Every plan is grounded in current research — not generic handouts.

Acute

Sprains + strains

Acute and sub-acute soft-tissue injuries — early-stage care through full return to activity.

↑70% re-injury risk without rehab

Why it matters

Ligaments don't heal straight on their own. Without guided loading in the first 6 weeks, scar tissue forms asymmetrically — leaving you with a weaker joint and primed for a second injury.

Chronic

Tendinopathies

Achilles, patellar, rotator cuff, tennis and golfer's elbow — load management and progressive loading.

Rest alone fails in 60%+ of cases

Why it matters

Chronic tendon pain isn't inflammation anymore — it's disorganized collagen. Only progressive mechanical loading reorganizes the tissue. Time off the sport actually prolongs it.

Critical window

Post-surgical rehab

ACL reconstruction, rotator cuff repair, and joint replacements — collaborative care with your surgeon.

First 12 weeks define your ceiling

Why it matters

The surgery is 30% of the outcome. Rehab is the other 70%. Miss the early-stage protocol and you fight adhesions, stiffness, and atrophy for years — sometimes permanently.

Mechanical

Running injuries

Shin splints, IT band syndrome, plantar fasciitis — gait analysis and targeted strength work.

79% of runners injured each year

Why it matters

Pain is the symptom — mechanics are the cause. Without correcting cadence, stride, and loading pattern, you fix one injury and quietly develop the next six weeks down the road.

Widespread

Back + neck pain

Disc and joint dysfunction, whiplash recovery, posture-related pain.

85% of adults hit it at least once

Why it matters

Immobility in the first 72 hours is the single biggest predictor of chronic back pain. Early, correctly-guided movement cuts recovery time in half — and keeps it from coming back.

High-stakes

Concussion management

Post-concussion vestibular and neck rehab; gradual return-to-sport protocol.

Second-impact syndrome can be fatal

Why it matters

Returning before full vestibular and cognitive clearance risks cumulative neurological damage. A structured 6-stage protocol isn't optional — it's brain safety.
